The website is more or less functional now. Only the Codex and the drafts tabs remain. With the manga tab waiting to be filled with the latest output, I got back to drawing and continued my personal manga. It’s probably been 2 weeks since I last touched my stylus. I hold it the same as always. But when I run my pen to the tablet. It felt weird. Like the stylus doesn’t recognize me anymore. I really can't put the exact description, but it felt like I couldn’t steer the line the way I want it to be. Like someone else is controlling it other than myself. Perhaps this is what will happen if you step away from your daily routine and come back after a long time. I continued my sketches and adjusted my panels to present my ideas in a better way. I realized that I became much faster in sketching and even in line art. There were mistakes here and there, but I’m not taking too much time to fix them. Since my manuscript is in novel form, I proofread it along the way. I’m truly embarrassed that I posted those chapters on novel sites. There are some incomplete sentences, but that’s the mistake I’m okay with. But if the sequence of the action or events or names got interchanged, it sucks for the readers. It’s fortunate it doesn’t have much traction, so only a few readers see it. Or perhaps because of those reasons, my novel has few readers. At first, I cared a lot about the views and the algorithm, like I wanted to have a lot of readers. But now I’ve seen it; I’m okay with few readers. Having a personal website really opened my eyes to the fact that it didn’t really matter. The important thing is that I put something on the Aerygrim. I’m not anymore building just a story; it's an entire world with histories and people. That’s why I put the codex in there so I can add the monsters or characters from that world. And the only way I can do that is to finish the first chapter of the manga so I can add an entry to the codex. I have lots of plans: this manga, the novel, the entry to the codex, and illustrations of Aerygrim as well as a portfolio for my commission. And I need to do all these fast. I need to finish this before this year passes. I hope everything will be alright in the remaining time of the year.
